Eugene J. Kim, DDS 

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

headshot2_1Dr. Kim received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Pacific Union College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.  He then went to receive Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Loma Linda, CA.

Dr. Kim began practicing dentistry in Arizona and Colorado in 2002.  He then went on to serve as Dental Director of Clinica Campesina, a community health center, in 2005.  At Clinica, he provided dental care to underprivileged patients in Thornton, CO and was integral in expanding the program to serve the growing needs of the community.  Dr. Kim also participated in a preceptorship with the dental students at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry.  It was during these five years, as a teacher and clinician, that he developed an interest in oral surgery.

Dr. Kim moved to the Bronx, NY to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Residency, at the largest program in the nation, Montefiore Medical Center.  Their seven clinics and operating room rotations at Jersey City Medical Center and Bronx Lebanon Hospital has provided him with a wide range of experiences in the broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery.  Working in a large hospital setting and treating patients with complex medical and dental needs, in the culturally diverse area of New York City, has provided Dr. Kim with ample opportunity to refine his skills a specialist.

After working as an oral surgeon in Colorado, Dr. Kim is excited to be moving back to Arizona, his wife’s hometown, to raise his family and work alongside the Scottsdale and surrounding Phoenix community.  Dr. Kim truly embraces the “Patients First” philosophy. “It is a real honor and privilege to take care of my patients.  I am delighted that I get the opportunity to do so on a daily basis, whether it is relieving their pain and anxiety or watching them regain confidence through a new smile”.

Dr. Kim’s practice involves all aspects of oral surgery including wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, and oral pathology.  Dr. Kim stays current in his education and training and is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).  He is a member of The American Dental Association (ADA), Arizona Dental Association (AZDA), Central Arizona Dental Society (CADS), and the Arizona Society of Oral & Maxilofacial Surgeons (AZOMS).  Dr. Kim is a candidate for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS).

When not treating patients, Dr. Kim and his wife are busy keeping up with their two energetic daughters and two Yorkies.  Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and traveling.
